A small way up from here leads you to a place that allows you to experience 360 degree landscape of the hoary mountains. We further climb up to the top all the way through the torrent Changri Glacier in order to get a quick glimpse of Kala Pattar (Black Rock). Struggling your way up through this rock and glacial trail eventually leads you to your destination – Mt Everest Base Camp. You can spend some time taking pictures and appreciating the beauty offered by Mt. Everest and her sibling peaks. We then return to Gorekshep and spend the night at a lodge.
The major goal of today is to watch the view of sunrise in the Himalayas. We start around 4 am. After that we hike back to Gorak Shep, have breakfast and trace our way back to Pheriche where we spend our night at a lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge in Pheriche, we make our way down to Namche Bazaar, the trail drops downhill to Pangboche village which further drops to the riverside where on crossing the bridge over Imja Khola the trail hikes up to Tengboche.
