Overview
Gosainkunda is a holy and popular lake located at an altitude of4,380 m (14,370 ft) above sea level. It lies in the Rasuwa district. It is also known as Frozen Lake and is a major religious site. Gosainkunda holy lake melts and flows down to form Trisuli River and remains frozen for six months in winter. There are many other lakes in this area. This area is very popular for both Hindus and Buddhists. Its holy water is considered particularly significant during Gangadashahara and the sacred thread festival Janai Purnima.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuwan International Airport, we will greet you and take you to your hotel. We can meet later on that day or the next day to take you to our head office to brief you on your upcoming trek with us. Here, we will introduce you to your trekking guide and Sherpa. If your flight arrives on time, we will take you to one of the most popular local restaurants with delicious Nepalese food, cultural music and ethnic dance. This will give you a glimpse into the different ethnic groups of the country. If you arrive late in the evening we can do this the next day.
After breakfast, you will begin a city tour of Kathmandu where you will see the main attractions of the valley. On this tour you will visit the Boudhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square (the old palace). After finishing the city tour, we will meet again to check your clothing and trekking equipment (sleeping bag, down jacket and trekking boots). This evening will be spent in Kathmandu.
Our guide will meet you at the hotel as per departure time and takes you to the bus station where your journey starts towards north of Kathmandu through Pasang Lamu highway. The road is well paved till Trisuli bazzar and unpaved to Sybrubesi. You will enjoy the scenery of the valley, farm terrace and village as well as snow peaked mountains. Overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge, the trail drops little down to the river to cross suspension bridge and short climb to the small village. Then cross another suspension bridge and walk along the Langtang khola. The trail continues climb up to the Lamahotel through the forest. On the way you will enjoy the views of waterfalls, forest and river. Overnight at lodge.
Your day starts walking through the forest along the river to get in to Ghoretabela. There are few tea shops on the way where you can have a rest. After Ghoretabela, an easy walk for a while and climb to Langtang through the barren valley. Overnight at Langtang.
The trail leads uphill at the beginning after crossing the Langtang village and easy walk to the tea shop. Then the trail descends to the ridge and drop down to the valley of Keynjing Gompa for overnight.
Today you have an option of either walk up to Tserko Ri or hike up to the Glacier. It also depends on your fitness condition. You shall discuss with your Guide regarding your health condition and interest. There is Yak Cheese factory which we recommend to visit. There is very popular Gompa( Gompa is a place where people goes for meditation) nearby which is worth visiting. Overnight at lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge, we will go to Langtang village which is an easy downhill trek. You will enjoy the views of Himalaya and valley. The trail continues drops down to Lamahotel for overnight.
The trail drops steep downhill towards riverside to cross the bridge and slightly down to Pairo. The trail splits here towards left uphill or downhill through the valley. The valley trail leads down to Sybrubesi which is short way to get in to Kathmandu. We take uphill to the ridge and drop a little down to the river. After crossing suspension bridge the trail ascends to Thulo Sybru for overnight.
After breakfast at the lodge the trail leads up through the ridge of Thulo Sybru which has interesting views of Mountains and valley. As you climb up you will have better views. Today, most of the way through the forest of rhododendron and pine to reach to Chandanbari for overnight. Today, the trail leads uphill to Cholanpati which has panoramic views of Mountains and continue up to Lauribina. After short rest at Lauribana, the trail steep climb up to Gosainkunda at the top. There are few more lakes nearby to explore and stay overnight at the lodge.
Once you leave Gosainkunda, the trail leads up to the ridge through the rocky trail and passing few more lakes to reach Lauribina La. After that the trail drops down to the Phedi (bottom of the hill) then continue ups and downs to the Ghopte through the rocky trail. Overnight at the lodge.
The trail drops slightly down from Ghopte then climbs up to the ridge to get toTharepati. Then the trail drops down through the forest and cross the bridge at the bottom before reach Melamchi village. It is the biggest Sherpa village which has Gompa and village school. It is pretty village to walk around where you will explore life of the people on the mountain. Stay overnight at the lodge.
The beginning part of the day is downhill until cross river and gently climb up through small village to Tarkeghyang. There is an easy walk to Sermathang through the village for lunch. You will have great views of snow Peak Mountains and village at the valley which is perfect combination. Stay overnight at lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge the trail drops down through the ridge to Kakani which is very beautiful village. Then continue descends towards east to get to Melamchi bazzar for overnight.
After breakfast we will take a bus ride to Kathmandu. Once you are at Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel for resting. You can have lazy day at the hotel or you can do some city tour. Tonight is our farewell dinner together. Overnight at the hotel.
Today is the last day of the trip with us. If you would like to extend your holiday with us, we are here to assist you otherwise we will assist you to the airport as per your departure time.

Travel Insurance
You must have a  travel insurance. A travel insurance policy that covers cancellation, injury, death, lost baggage, theft, liability, medical treatment and expenses. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal. If a client becomes ill, all hospital expenses, doctors' fees and repatriation costs are the client's responsibility. If you are injured and unable to travel, you can ask for a rescue helicopter from a remote area only if you have definite proof you can pay for it.

Foods and Accommodation
In Kathmandu we use tourist standard hotel to ensure a comfortable stay and relaxed environment before and after your adventure. All breakfasts are included at the hotel in Kathmandu. Rooms are generally twin share – depending on group size and room availability, triple share may be offered up on your request. A single supplement room is available at an additional cost. For breakfast you expect to have porridge, toast or chapattis, omelet and local bread. We will provide all meals on full board (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and tea & coffee) from the teahouse menu during the trekking period. Whilst trekking on the Everest, the accommodation is in guesthouses or Lodges which are basic with shared facilities. Some lodges offers shower and mostly offers bucket hot water up on request. 
 
Our effort while you are on a trek
We will try to keep to the proposed itinerary, however as this is adventure travel in a remote Himalayan region, the health of member, weather conditions can all contribute to changes the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary. If you are delayed longer than the itinerary date we can help reschedule your international flights but prepare to pay some extra charge if required.
