Start from, the Gobi Desert and its wonderful sites: Ongi monastery ruins, Bayanzag the Flaming Cliffs, the Khongor sand dunes and the Yoliin Am.

The next half of the tour takes you to the crystal clear Lake Huvsgul at the beautiful Horidol saridag mountains and the Tsaatan people, picturesque Khorgo-Terkh National Park and the ancient capital at Karakorum.

Landscape and cultural sightseeing blend easily in Mongolia - you will have the chance to visit families of nomads, remote Buddhist monasteries and traditional events, and to take part in horse-riding or guided walking if you wish - there are also endless opportunities for photography.   • Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our guide and driver will meet us at the airport and aid with check-in at the central hotel
  • We take a tour of the city, including the Gandan Buddhist Monastery, Museum of Mongolian National History and Genghis Monument on the Sukhbaatar Square.
  • Watch Mongolian traditional concert.

  • Today we will drive to Khongor sand dunes. At 28 m in height the giant sand dunes stretch lengthwise some 180 kms. Sometimes the area is only several hundred meters wide but can grow to 7-20 kms.
  • We will hike to the top of the sand dunes. Camel riding here.
  • Overnight at a resort
