Upon arrival at Colombo airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Tour Colombo, including the Fort District and Pettah Market. Visit a Hindu temple, Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, the Dutch Wolvendaal Church and the Dewatagaha Mosque.
Depart for Dambulla, visiting Sigiriya en route to climb Rock Fortress or ‘Lion Rock’.
Travel to the village of Hiriwadunna and take a walk (approximately 3 hours) along the banks of an artificial reservoir, passing local farms, villages and dense bush where you may spot elephants and monkeys. Drive to the beachside town of Trincomalee.
Embark on a morning whale watching cruise (May to November only), beginning at Foul Point and sailing south.
Travel back to Dambulla and tour the Rock Temple. Continue to Kandy, visiting a spice garden at Matale en route for a cooking demonstration. Upon arrival, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the world. Watch a cultural dance performance while enjoying dinner this evening.
After check-out this morning you will be transferred to your Colombo hotel or Colombo airport where your arrangements end.
